First Login into Ubuntu with your username which you created while installing it. Now, open the Login Window Preferences dialog box from the System menu by choosing System > Administration > Login Window.
In the Login Window Preferences dialog box, switch to the Security tab. In the security tab at the middle of the dialog box you could find a Check Box with the label “Allow local system administrator login“, by default it kept unchecked. Now you just make the check box checked and press the Close button.
Now, here after while switching on your Ubuntu system gain enter the username as “Root” and login to login into your Ubuntu as a Root administrator.
